No. 492 added27.11.2000, changed26.02.2003 Belt plates and mounts from a woman's belt, found at Gerasdorf, Austria. Only prosperous women could afford such belts.1st century AD. It was used in the provinces of NORICUM and PANNONIA. To the set belongs a second bow-shaped mount (below), two more of the ship-shaped mounts (top right) and 12 decorative rivets (not pictured). Fits a belt width of 4.9 cm/1.9 inches. |
